Whale and dolphin watching

Because of its unique tropical location Madeira is a place where whales and dolphins like to hang out. And because the coast is so steep they actually come very close to shore! Sperm whales, bottlenosed dolphins and even, occasionally, an orka.

Scuba diving

On Madeira, the ocean floor drops so steeply that you can just dive straight in and get down to business! The reefs around the coast are filled with barracudas, dolphins, tuna, sharks and octopusses.
